Phew. We're back!

Sorry for the long delay. As you can see, we've skipped right on by episode #3. What happened? In short, life got busy. It became hard to coordinate a time to cast and worse, whenever we could find time, we were plagued by technical difficulties. Episode #3 was recorded, but it had a weird echo effect that was taking me forever to edit out. Given how long it took, the episode pretty much became irrelevant and I couldn't muster up the motivation to finish the edit.

But now we're back, we're on a stable connection, and with a little luck, we'll be back on a regular schedule. Enjoy!

In other news, we're on a new host. This one seems a little more intuitive for both listeners and for me, so hopefully it'll work out for now.

Hi all, here's episode #2, as promised. We're semi-caught up now, and we should be recording episode #3 tomorrow or Thursday. If I have time to edit it, I'll try to have it up by Friday. If not, expect it Monday.

After some struggles to increase the volume and decrease the background noise, this episode came out a little tinny sounding, but I think it's clearer than episode #1. I'm not quite sure how to fix it, so I apologize for that and ask that you bear with us as we feel out the technology and editing aspects of podcasting. If any audiophiles out there have any suggestions or tips, please let me know.

Hello everyone! The first episode of Turn It Sideways, is up and ready for your consumption. It's a bit old (by about two and a half weeks), as it took awhile to work out the technical aspects and master the editing process. The second episode should be ready tomorrow, and after that I hope to update every Sunday (two-three days after we record).

Just as an FYI, I plan to use this blog as the face for Turn It Sideways, as well as a general Magic blog with more in depth reports and articles.

A couple notes:
1) the quality on this first episode is pretty poor, and I may be hard to understand as I was talking on a crappy cell phone. Episode #2 is sounding cleaner.
2) we made a crucial error in the "First Pack, First Pick" feature, in that we didn't read Haakon, Stromgald Scourge correctly. I would have simply editied it out of the cast, but we refer back to it in episode 2. I don't remember the pack explicitly, but perhaps we'll revise the pick in a future cast or in this blog
